Landmark

Primal Media's first commission since joining the STV Studios family, Landmark is a bold and ambitious series which sees artists and local communities across the UK join forces in a quest to create the next great British landmark. Hosted by broadcaster and author Gemma Cairney, each episode spotlights three brilliant artists who compete to create local landmarks for their home region.

Working across mediums varying from ceramics and bronze to LEDs and inflatables, the artists build, weld and sculpt under the watchful eyes of two expert judges, curator Clare Lilley and visual artist Hetain Patel, as well as a celebrity guest judge from that area. The winner is commissioned to create a permanent £250,000 landmark in the heart of Coventry, UK City of Culture for 2021.
